Requirements to be Met
Food production companies are very aware of customers’ health allergy issues and address the need to control potential cross contamination for nut allergies to this known concern. We were asked to create a Stainless Steel Fabrication enclosure of specific size and design for the flexible packaging film. Our design met all of the concerns listed below.
Cleaning in food plants goes on all the time. This creates a major need to keep the packaging materials from getting wet from spray hoses. Our container needed to be on the production floor and keep the contents
inside from becoming wet. We meet this demand as well the other key issues below.
Container needed be easy to access - accomplished via hook and loop fastening strip along front vertical edges with hinged lid that opens along the middle of the container width.
Simple to “open” for loading and removal of packaging film on the production floor – no latches, the front panel stays flexible under all temperatures – our design is ideal for frozen foods
Lid is safe and secure in the open loading position – we use piston air cylinders to assist in opening and to maintain the open position.
When the container is
loaded and on the production floor it must be easy to identify when the container was empty – the front panel is crystal clear cold proof vinyl, perfectly clear to read the labels of the material inside
Easy to move when loaded – 6” stationary and rotating caster wheels
