What is a Vapor Phase Corrosion Inhibitor (VpCI)?

• A carboxylate amine salt created by manufacturing that's safe to the environment, animals, and people
• A molecule is chemically attracted to the surface of the metal and aligns itself on the surface of the metal
• The VpCI repels water and oxygen that would fuel the development of rust
• This protection will last for years and the VpCI will not have any effect on any other components

VpCI Benefits? VpCI's offer several key benefits from more traditional corrosion inhibiting packaging:

• Rust preventative oils, that must eventually be removed, are not needed
• No residual surface contamination from molecules
• Air-tight packaging is not required - simply keep the package closed when not in use
• There is no low humidity storage requirement
• No desiccants needed (moisture absorbents that traditionally need to be present and periodically replaced)
• Any size of enclosure may be manufactured and protected by adding VpCI emitters
